Accounting Specialist


  • Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and account totals to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases

  • Assist with billing as necessary

  • Monitor accounts receivable to ensure that payments are up to date as well as manage any collection activities/follow up

  • Process all necessary manual invoices working with various departments to collect documentation

  • Maintain general ledger reconciliations for various accounts

  • Month end closing activities

  • Backup to Payroll in case of absence or illness

  • Code data for input to financial data processing system in accordance with company procedures

  • Complete management reports as required in a timely manner.

  • Assist in budgeting and audit requirements

  • Must be flexible and able to work in these additional functional areas, including but not limited to: payroll, accounts payable, inventory control, fixed asset reporting and costing


  • Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance or 4 years related experience as well as a high school diploma or GED, or a combination of education and experience

  • Manufacturing experience is preferred/Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred

  • Strong math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers

  • Proficient personal computer and system software skills, Advanced Excel/Epicor/

  • ADP experience a strong plus

  • You must be willing to work mandatory overtime as required during the monthly close/and or to complete special projects as assigned.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
