Engineering Manager/Automotive Lighting

Our customer in the Madison, IN area is currently looking for a Project Engineer to join their team.
The ideal candidate leads Project Teams through the Product Engineering Phases of assigned projects. Develops new product designs.
Safety:
o Responsible to follow all safety procedures and practices.
Quality:
o Ensures and maintains the quality guidelines, procedures, and standards are consistently followed throughout the manufacturing operation.
Responsibility & Customer-Focused:
o Leads cross-functional Product Development Project Teams to develop, maintain and improve product design.
o Generates Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis for new/revised product.
o Creates/updates timelines for completion of new/revised product and communicates status to appropriate personnel.
o Assists in generating Design Verification Plan and Reports for new/revised product
o Communicates with Sales & Marketing personnel on project requirements.
o Able to execute the NPI process.
o Works with internal and external customers on product design issues.
Integrity:
o Creates new product designs and completes all associated documentation.
o Creates ECO's for changes to product as needed.
o Creates bills of materials, costs, and designs for new product as needed.
Respect & Family:
o Supports factory personnel.
o Supports Customer Service personnel.
o Communicates with Sales & Marketing personnel on project requirements.
o Communicates with Purchasing, NPI Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers, and
plant personnel on successful implementation of new designs.
Education and Experiences:
- BS Degree in Engineering (BSEE or BSME)
- 3 years of Project Management Experience
- Experience with 5 Why's, D, or 7 Step.
- Some knowledge of CAD
- Experience with DFMEAEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
