Project Engineer - Manufacturing - Southeast Indiana. Tier 1 manufacturer seeks a Project Engineer to lead project teams through the product engineering phases of assigned projects, develop new product designs. You will report to a Product Engineering Group Manager and be heavily involved with product engineering. Great company in a position of growth and well-respected in the community. Responsibilities for the Project Engineer
Initiate the project after identification by the Business Development Manager; plan the project; execute the project through meeting key NPI milestones; close the project on-time and on-budget
Coordinate with the testing and compliance functions to ensure project flow
Coordinate with cost accounting (on lean accounting); business development and product managers (on capacity planning and quoting); sales & marketing (on project requirements); purchasing, manufacturing engineers, and industrial engineers (on successful implementation of new designs)
Discuss new designs with vendors and customers
Requirements for the Project Engineer
4-year degree required (BSME, MSME, BSMET)
5
years experience managing cross-functional product development teams
5
years mechanical engineering work experience
Formal problem-solving skills/methodologies
