PT Paramedic Lab Assistant

Ivy Tech Madison is looking to fill a part-time paramedic lab assistant position. Come join our team!
The lab assistant will be responsible for creating a learning environment that enables students to reach their goals and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the school. This position is a part-time, temporary position filled each semester on an as-needed basis.
Major
Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned training/skills in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
  • Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
  • Engage with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College; show evidence of developing and implementing active laboratory teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular).
  • Interact with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner; comply with College policies, campus guidelines, and expectations.
  • Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for labs and all learning environments.

Minimum Requirements:
A qualified lab assistant in paramedic science meets all the following criteria:
  • Completed academic preparation appropriate to the program; Holds an EMT certification or paramedic license
  • Only eligible to assist courses at or below certification/license level
  • Has two years of directly related work experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
